Doesn’t all public buildings have to be wheelchair accessible?

Or do that only mean they are supposed to be able to JUST GET IN THE BUILDING? What, they are not supposed to be able to go to other levels of the rest of the buildings that don’t have elevators???

Or is it to muc to put in one or more chair lifts for all CHILDREN TO GO TO REGULAR SCHOOLS?” And, why would a kid (or anyone) have to even think or say OR WANT TO GO TO -A->REGULAR<-SCHOOL?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I live in the City of Detroit. and I love my city even with this economy and every business’s problems (though I regret that my city’s businesses are having to choose so carefully and with such hard hearts in these days/years of now). But, while I wish I could afford two to for other properties in Detroit and/or Michigan it’s self, I do wish I could afford at least one if not two other homes in a warm state for my health. (mind you I would never give up the home I have now even if I had to give it to family or friends)…Detroit Is Who I Be! :+)) But, I cry becuase this city has now amends for my 5yr old nephew to go to regular school. and there is no law that makes it where he will get is liquid food and breathing supplies, or update his wheelchair AS HE GROW(not as he gets tooo big or can’t roll the wheels on his own and his feet is now dragging (but I digress). What I am saying is Detroit or atleast some cities does not have a law to get my mentally healthy 5yr old nephew to a REGULAR SCHOOL of any kind in detroit or Michigan for that matter. And, I can’t get any of my emails to go through to any of the talk shows I’ve tried or home improvement shows–becuase I was told they can not come and remodel in Michigan. Maybe they can now but maybe after all the years it’s been MAYBE THEY JUST CAN’T IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN.???. –HE IS 5YRS OLD NOW FOR PETE’S SAKE. Alot could have changed in 4years. Anyway I don’t want anything. I just wish it was a voice for them when it comes to education. and for some of the *at least SOME OF THEM* help with making their home accessible. And, not becuase they had an injury or they are very mature in age. Just a voice and let him be able to crawl to hs room without having to say; “put me down so I can crawl up the stairs BY MY-SELF TODAY!”

Oh yeah, least give the parents and his sisters and brother a sneak off to cry place where neither person/child knows the other person is crying (or pretendng to work-not cry).

Make it TORRENCE JOHNSON’S LAW (of Detroit, Michigan)…everyone can’t afford to move because their kid is handicappedm or might not make it past 5yrs so they are going to through an (unaffordable) celebration (his birthday party to him) just becase he would have made it to 6years old.

And to that all even I can say is wow.

Just help me/us get him into regular school so he won’t begin to be held back becuase of what he is/not being taught in his school that he has no choice but to go to. And, please help me/us stop getting contractors that say his need cannot be met–BUT, “IF THEY COULD DO IT: IT WOULD BE DIFFERENT THAN WHAT THEY SAID THEY NEED FOR HIM-AND- IT”LL COST*S * WHAT YOU PROBABLY CAN’T AFFORD…Now how much did you say you were looking to ‘spend’ around??”

That is so wrong. Oh yeah, if you can get this one person who is apart of Detroit major newscast to actually perform what SHE PROMISED )how ever she got to know about him I thanks to God and All who helped his name to be spoken and spread (HI WENDY [AND HIS 6YR OLD GIRLFRIEND that lives in a suburb away]) And, thanks to the ot. Obama World in advance whether he sees them or not, just thankyou for the respect of the response back to him. Again, thankyou becuase he truely loves the fmily and knows all their names and told all to vote for him. Why does it seem as if your cities does things for the little people (as if what you need can easily be found or refered)?

I hate to be trying to talk to you or anyone that will listen, but how can I get any news feed to talk about PHYSICALLY disabled KIDS AGED PRESCHOOL.KINDERGARDEN to be able to go to regular public school systems in Detroit -or almost- ANYWHERE IN -THE-STATE-OF=MICHIGAN?? And, if you don’t know can ANYONE please send me an econmical contractor to help him get his bedroom on the first floor so his family don’t have to carry him up everytime he wants to go there or it’s bedtime or bath time. I just would like real people who will understand the type of things that a special needs kid needs on the first floor and wheelchair accesable in the inner city of Detroit, Michigan. He has a body disability not mental. Can someone please help becuase EVERY PROGRAM and I mean EVERY PROGRAM in not just Detroit,but, the suburbs too says they can’t do anything for him no matter his age. My name is Bridgette Kirk and I am a voter and a taxpayer!! But iregardless if I lived in a box my child=any child should be able to go to ‘regular’ school if your mind allows you to be educated in a ‘ regular’ manner. I am searching for my 5yr old nephew. He deep getting promises that do not pan out to his parents who have to do the parent judgement thing and not tell him that it’s taking so long becuase it might not (more than likely) go through. I’m tired of my sister and brother inlaw crying theirselves to sleep and hoping another disabled child has kliquid food that she didn’t eat all of so the parents can give to my nephew becuase insurance has to keep sending the choice of yes/no payment choices to another department (someone else to do the dirty work of denying a 5yr old of liquid food on their insurance the daddy pays for in his CITY HELD JOB!!!!! And, NO i DON’T WANT TO LEAVE A MESSAGE THAT NOONE WILL GET BACK TO ME…I canbe ignored at the end of the secretary’s/answering machine’s message and just get the usual hang up so I can go cry some more for them. sometimee I don’t know if I’m crying for the parents, the strong child, or the siblings that unfairly got to see all this. (especially when a child is old enough to know when a parent is ‘sneaking off to cry’ and yes those are real phone numbers and email info. I don’t care cause if some does call it’ll just be more of me hearing stuff that will not help him. I don’t care it’s not for me so bring it on. I’m an adult just hoping I can get a rferall that will actually help him.Idon’t want to be afraid their parents may lose the house in this economy and he’ll be in a place where won’t even be able to crawl around when he needs to becuase his back or legs just gave out and he bumped his head on something cuz this is not his house that everyone makes sure HE WON’T BUMP HIS HEAD INCASE HE DO FALL becuase they now live somewhere they have no control over what goes where or if the floor is clean, there are steps for him to try to crawl up just cuz he want to go upstairs without being carried today!! ok, ok, enough just PLEASE PLEASE , ANYONE HELP HIM. Cuz yet again, I will try to send this same thing I just texted here to other sites and mailings so I can start to be ignored for this week’s end, and, it’s okay, because, today is just the first day of the rest of My life. They said they don’t mind carrying him to the bathroom like now -although that boy is pretty heavy-My own lil’ lol- But, like I said I’ll be back to update and let anyone know that yet still the 5yr old is going to a mentally disabled school and his insurance still give them heck about his liquid food, breathing tubes, and etc, etc, etc, etc,etc

The Cup

It was 2:17 a.m., Thursday/Friday morning before I realized how late it was. Just before that, (about 5 or 10 minutes), it had finally registered that it is a little later than the time it usually is before I tell my son to turn down that noise. But, I didn’t know WHAT time it was.

Ris is still up. I go in there and I notice he’s watching his usual , ( he has certain things that he likes to watch all the time or repeat on a loo[..esp., when, drinking). I noticed not only the DVR said 2:17 a.m.but he is still drinking. I-We had mustered through a few words to talk. But,he strecthed out with that cup in his hand.

Every person probably have a cup or glass for security drinking. Even if it is just pop, water, juice, even, tea or milk. I’m so upset that Idecided to ask for my brother’s insurance card before he leaves tomorrow. He just told me he don’t think he can go tomorrow in the morning.He is so wound up (and so am I) that he’s saying tha he’ll go Friday.It is Friday I tell him and he’s saying “oh”, what he means is he’ll “go Friay, the next day.” I thinkWOW! Cuz he’s still saying the next day will be Frida insteaad of it being SATURDAY. Well, either way, when I finally/we finally get the name of tomorrow the next day, right (saturday) I ell him that he need to call in the morning starting about7-7:30 a.m. to let them know (before) 9:30 a.m. that we just can’t unwind and come down So, he just can’t do tomorrow. While I go back in my room to fiddle and find something for a busy mind and nimble fingers. I strongly smell his Beer I hope that he didn’t waste any all the while I’m dealing with the sickening reactions it’s smell does to my stomach and nose. So, here it is 3:41 a.m.- day 1. of writing out of many. I’m so tired, I can’t even cry.In dindn’ get to see my son and his fiance’ in this visit. I hurt, I’m tired, and I gotta take MORE medication. It is now 3:48 a.m.

Welcome to WordPress.com.

Well as it says Welcome and I hope that this site will be a welcome to go to. This is my first post at attempting to blog or post or put anything out their anywhere. I do have a poem somewhere in the world, but, I’m not sure if I had a copywrite put on it. But, I do hope to atleast see it out there somewhere in the world someday in something nice.

Anyway, the reason I started this is really to verbalize my life and my family. I am hoping that I will have enough strength to start a blog for my nephew to be truthful. It has been so many years that I said that I would start a blog or some type of posting to talk about me and my condition but I never did it. But, now it is different. My nephew has a condition that me and my sister have been struggling with SO V-E-R-Y HARD. Although, this is my sister’s child, out of a total of 5 siblings ranging in age rom 44yrs to 26 yrs, we are the only two that has children and we are two girl siblings. I am the one in the family that always loved kids and took care of the house, kids and immediate family, so when she came along. So, of course I was taking care of her. Caring to her consoling her, watching out for her emotions and what she would or would not see when or if I could control it. And, in general watching out for her general well-being because she was the baby, the last child,..the last girl after me with a 14yr sibling age gap. So in general when I say I can tell that someone in my family are going through something, then usually if not absolutely I am right. It was seeing my nephew go through so much at such a young age that finally made me take a step and see.
